BEAR is Hiring!

Venture Out / Ropes Course Program Leader 

Full Time, 30 - 35 hours/week, $18 - $20/hr

Starting immediately, this position will be responsible for working with the program & site coordinator to ensure all programming goals are met. Work with the programming team to offer weekly summer day trips, summer ropes course activities, after school groups, once monthly weekend trips, occasional overnight trips and 1 on 1 youth mentoring. Applicants must be available during youth programming hours to qualify. Summer programming and schedules are typically Tuesday through Saturday with occasional Monday support. Qualified applicants will have a positive and friendly personality, proven ability to build rapport with youth and adults, and be able to engage participants in a fun and educational experience. Strong communication and safety assessment skills are required, as well as proven experience working with youth in the outdoors.

Summer Camp Program Assistant 

Full Time, 35 hours /week, $16 - $18/hr, temporary summer position

Starting immediately, this position will be responsible for working with the programming team to offer Monday through Friday summer day camps and occasional ropes course assistance (no climbing required). Applicants must be available during youth programming hours to qualify. Summer programming and schedules are typically Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday support. Please read the job description below for more details. 

Qualified applicants will have a positive and friendly personality, proven ability to build rapport with youth and adults, and be able to engage participants in a fun and educational experience. Strong communication and safety assessment skills are required, as well as proven experience working with youth in the outdoors.
