ROCH TURNER, PhD

Dr. Turner is a third generation Montanan. Raised in Hamilton, Turner left for the U.S. Navy immediately following high school graduation. He served as a shipboard imagery intelligence analyst onboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) for four years and as a signals intelligence analyst at a NATO regional Headquarters for two years. Following the Navy, Turner returned to school, ultimately earning a bachelor’s degree in history, masters in public administration, and a Ph.D. in International Education. His academic interests are focused on service to community and social inequities. He is an AmeriCorps VISTA alumnus, a former Franklin Project Ambassador with the Aspen Institute, and currently conducts team research on cross-cultural competencies in international education and independent research on educational reform. On a personal level, Turner is an avid trail runner and hiker with a fierce passion for the mountains of Western Montana.

DOREA MARTIN

Affiliations: Trapper Creek Job Corps
Dorea has been an outdoor and environmental educator for 13 years, which has enabled her to live and work in 8 states across the West. As the natural resources trade instructor at Trapper Creek Job Corps, she teaches her students the knowledge and skills they need to begin their forestry and conservation careers. She enjoys snowboarding, backpacking, facilitating challenge course experiences, meeting new people, and poking dead things with sticks.
